A1: Yes. it is a given, these are green solutions to transit that decongest moto vehicle ways, reduce traffic and therefore carbon emissions.
Q2: Do you support legalizing the use of e-scooters in the City of Toronto based on rules in other major Canadian cities including sensible safety measures?
A2: YES! with proper safety measures and working with organizations like EScooter Network Toronto to create the regulations and safety measures needed to make this a recognized form of transit.
Q3: Shared and rental e-scooters include many additional safety features including speed limiters and GPS locking to prevent riding in forbidden areas. These services have been very successful in other Canadian cities and in Europe. Do you support allowing shared and rental e-scooter services in the City of Toronto?
A3. YES. as part of the new shared economy we need to explore this as a common place form of transit in Toronto. As a world class city, we need to create world class transit. E-Scooters is part of this as used in many parts of the world.
